Last night (17 March), the chancellor announced an increase in the small business coronavirus cash grant, taking it from £3,000 to £10,000. Eligibility as it currently stands is still based on Businesses eligible for Small Business Rate Relief (SBBR) or Rural Rate Relief. At this stage we do not know of any plans for Businesses working from home or do not receive the above mentioned relief. We will update you if this changes as legislation is enacted.  There a separate concessions for those in the hospitality sector.

This scheme is not yet up and running – we expect this to be towards the end of April 2020 – However when the time comes your local authority will contact you rather than having to apply yourself. The coronavirus grant only applies to small business in England.
