It was announced today that HMRC’s Coronavirus Job Retention Portal will be opened on the 20th April 2020. Here is a handy video which covers everything you will need to apply for it.
As a re-cap – You will need:
- your PAYE reference number
- the number of employees being furloughed
- the claim period (start and end date)
- amount claimed (per the minimum length of furloughing of 3 consecutive weeks)
- your bank account number and sort code
- Your records showing furloughed workers and the amounts to claim.
- your contact name
- your phone number
- The records of furlough costs including Employers NI, pensions contributions and the actual furloughed workers wage costs. – You will get this information from a mix of your electronic records and your payroll.
