Xero have confirmed that the update to SSP has now been released.
This means that, in line with the recent legislative changes regarding self-isolation, now when you create a SSP leave request, you have the option to specify if the request is due to self-isolation.
When you select ‘Yes’, the existing three day waiting period rule is ignored, and employees are paid SSP from day one.
However, if this has already been processed in a pay run, you’ll need to Revert this pay run to Draft and Reset it, to ensure the new changes flow through. The relevant pay run can then be re-posted as normal.
